"Now, today, some children are enrolled in excellent programs. Some children are enrolled in mediocre programs. And some are wasting away their most formative years in bad programs....That's why I'm issuing a challenge to our states: Develop a cutting-edge plan to raise the quality of your early learning programs; show us how you'll work to ensure that children are better prepared for success by the time they enter kindergarten. If you do, we will support you with an Early Learning Challenge Grant that I call on Congress to enact."
- President Barack Obama, speaking to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, March 10, 2009

  1. Janet,
I really like that quote you found from the President. I think it is important that support for Early Childhood programs becomes a nation-wide effort and not just a fight within the early childhood community. The efforts will not be in vein because they will benefit every person that is a part of the communities that these programs serve. It is important to reward and support programs that are striving to better the public and they communities they live in.

  2. Hello Janet Adams,
First of all I have to tell you that I love your colors, green is one of my favorite colors. However, it appears that our color scheme is not all we have in common. The childhood resources you picked are almost identical to resources I found to be most interesting. Well I guess I am not surprise, educators seem to think alike... you know the "birds of a feather'... well you know the rest : )
