ReplyDeleteIn respond to George Santayana- Schools fulfill the responsibilities through both formal and informal education but socialization in regards to the norms, values, beliefs, and attitudes in which children learn how to act in the way that others expect of them in society.
I love the quote by Albert Einstein! It truly states how important family is to any child, especially parents who care! If only we could give this to all of our students! And I also have to agree with Chesterton- I feel that my education will never be complete! I can always learn more, espcially from the children in my classroom. Each group is always different and what worked one year, may not work the next! Always be learning!
ReplyDeleteyoung girls discovering thier voice was a nice article. Im always talking to my daughter about the pressures of school and peers. I try to maintain a deep rooted relationship with her because I do not want peers misinforming her. This article gives me new ways to incorporate learning at home and making it fun.
